FAQ
Since 2007, Paint On Your Face has graced almost 1,300 events all over Southern California! With clients ranging from families large and small, to corporate clients such as Target and the Lakers, to celebrity clients, our team is proud to offer our creative services to a diverse crowd, whether the event be private or public.
Q: When will the artist arrive for setup?

A: Our facepaint artists arrive 20 minutes before start time to set up their table and supplies. Please provide a shaded area away from the sun, with enough space for kids to watch. If there are any parking instructions, please make sure to let us know beforehand to avoid delays.

Q: How many children can be painted per hour?

A: As a rule of thumb, approximately 12 children are painted per hour. This includes full face, half face, mask, face and arm designs. So for example, a party with 22 kids will want to book 2 hours. If you would like super detailed designs, or more than one design (faces and arms), we suggest booking longer to allow more time per child and to reduce the waiting time (or you can book additional artists with us, depending on availability and your budget).

Q: How much is the deposit?

A: The deposit for your event varies, depending on which services you're booking, how long you are booking for, and how many artists you'd like to book. Generally it's approximately 20% of the invoice or between $50-$100 per artist, but varies depending on the event. Deposits must be paid in a timely manner, and all reservations are first come first served based on us receiving it. Deposits are accepted via debit and credit card, via a link we will send to you.

Q: What's included with the Facepainting?

A: Our face painting service includes a professional artist who will arrive 20 minutes early for setup. They will bring their table and supplies, including professional FDA approved face and body paint, along with cosmetic glitter.

Q: Will my Artist bring a display of designs?

A: Your artist will usually have a laminated sheet or card with designs. If there is a specific theme, let us know beforehand. Please note that there may be an extra charge for creating a physical menu with specific custom designs that we don't usually offer.

Q: What kind of products will the Artist use?

A: Our facepainters use FDA approved makeup that is specifically for facepainting and body art. We refrain from using acrylic paint, and "costume store makeup." Our artists use glitter that is cosmetic and safe for the skin.
